Note: Imbiber Beads ® Imbicator TM Pillows will continue to “absorb”hydrocarbons in manholes / sumps for long periods of time without releasing their content. ‘Sit & Soak’applications can be tailored to many maintenance procedures.

Removal of Hydrocarbons in Manholes, Sumps and Vaults

1. Remove Grate Cover fromManhole / Sump (Ventilate)
2. Remove Imbiber Beads® Pillow(s) from carton.
3. Tie cord / twine / rope to grommet of Imbiber Beads® Pillow(s).
4. Tie cord / twine / rope to fixed object.
5. Lower Imbiber Beads® Pillow(s) into Manhole
6. Let Imbiber Beads® Pillow(s)‘sit & soak ‘for a min of 20 minutes for Class l & 2 Chemicals
(i.e. Gasoline/Diesel) *(See Imbiber Beads® -Technical Bulletins)
7. Remove Imbiber Beads® Pillow(s)
8. Place contaminated Imbiber Beads® Pillow(s) in Vapor Bag and secure with plastic tie
(both provided in carton).
